New form of Transportation

The other night Zane was home with the kids while I keep perfecting my knitting skills!! When I came throught the door I see Kyla dragging Barrett around the house by the leg of his jammies. I asked Zane if he saw what his kids were doing, and then I realized that Barrett was enjoying it. I really should have taken a video, cause Barrett was laughing so hard!

I am sure someday it might be the other way around.

Broken Glasses

My mom gave Kyla these glasses the other day. Kyla calls them her Broken Glasses. On the ride home she was wearing them and she fell asleep. I thought it was so hilarious that I had to take a picture, I did not take the picture while driving (mainly because I couldn’t reach my camera without pulling over)!

And this was how she looked by the time we arrived at home.

Reflections!

My kids love to look at themselves in the mirror. When I do go shopping Kyla loves to stop at every mirror we come across and strike a pose. Well the other day they were both in the tub and Barrett noticed that he could see his reflection on the overfill drain. It was hard to get his picture, because Kyla kept getting in my way!

I can knit!

Yay, I finally can knit again. My grandma Anne, who is celebrating a birthday today, taught me how to sew, knit, and crochet when I was younger!! The only one I really kept at was sewing, but a lady at church is teaching some of us how to knit and now I can do it again. My first project was a dishcloth. I have really wanted to make hats for the kiddos, so this is my attempt at a hat. It was meant for Barrett but I think it looks more girly (maybe the yarn I used) and it actually fits Kyla better then it fits Barrett. So here is Kyla showing the hat off!

Trick or Treating!

Well, we took the kids to Aspen Grove with some friends to go trick or treating. Kyla dressed up as Lady from Lady in the Tramp and Barrett was a skeleton! When we were done we stopped at Starbucks for some Hot Chocolate! I took some pictures of Kyla and Barrett out front before we left the house.

After trick or treating we stopped at a friends house to check out the scary decor in their front yard. Kyla was spooked, but she still insisted on checking it out. Barrett was so excited and about to bounce out of my arms.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween

Pumpkin Carving!

Well we carved our pumpkins on Tuesday evening! Kyla chose the monster for her pumpkin. I was showing her different images/faces online that she could put on her pumpkin, which she liked, but she really wanted the monster. I am not as creative as Zane when it comes to drawing/carving so I went with Der. And of course Zane has to create his own design on his pumpkin!

Barrett trying to get in on the action.

Kyla was helping me collect the seeds so that we could bake them. This was the first time I have kept the seeds and they tasted yummy!

Zane’s Pumpkin

All our pumpkins lit, Kyla’s had an actual tea light in it, whereas Zane’s and mine had the battery powered light in them.
I took Kyla to my mom’s Trunk or Treat party on Wednesday since our ward is not doing one this year! I didn’t take any pictures, but I will make sure to take some today. Kyla sure enjoyed it and all the candy she collected. Since she is allergic to nuts, her stash dwindles down. It also dwindles down when she goes to sleep!

Girls of Eagle Valley!

This past Saturday I went to Maggiano’s to meet up with a few girls that I went to High School with. Most of them I had not seen for 12 years. We had a lot of fun and did a lot of catching up. Since we all don’t live to far from each other I think we will be planning to do meet ups more often!
The best thing was that even after so many years of not seen each other, it sure didn’t seem like it when we started chatting!!

Red Elephant Hill

It was so nice the other Saturday that we decided to go out on a trail before the snow prohibits us. One of the other reasons we went was because Brian bought a cruiser and wanted to take it out. We tried out Red Elephant Hill, but the trail got to narrow and we turned around. Kyla wanted to ride with Brian on the way out.
I thought it was so funny when we first started the trail, Kyla said,”Zane stop! Zane stop, I am trying to put my lipstick on.” No wonder Tia Nessi and her get along so well.

This was a small section of the trail that was surrounded with Aspens. I am sure this trail would have been gorgeous with color several weeks earlier.

This was the view from the point where the trail got to narrow.

Brian was testing his stock suspension.

Some trees that had not lost their leaves.

When we got off the trail we went across I-70 to the first obstacle on Spring Creek. Zane wanted me to ride in the Cruiser for the obstacle, so we took Barrett out and put him in Brian’s with Kyla. They were both sleeping at this point.

Pumpkin Patch!

Every year we go to Rock Creek Farm up in Broomfield to find our pumpkins. It is by far the best, you get to drive out on their fields and then pick from a huge selection of pumpkins. Many of the pumpkins you have to cut off the vine! This year the pumpkins are such a great size! They also have some farm animals, a haybale maze for kids, a corn maze for everyone, and all the yummy goodies of fall!!
