Lost in a Corn Maze!

Well not really! The other weekend we went to a corn maze nearby with friends. Kyla had a lot of fun, mostly running from and chasing Zane! And then at the end Brian and Zane were throwing corn at each other, so Kyla joined in too.

I turned a corner and came across a bunny. This is as close as I could get before he darted off into the corn.

I have wanted to try this, so I did a little experimenting. I was hoping to get the shot with Zane’s arms down. Will have to try it again I guess!

Happy 10th Anniversary!!!

DAVID & VANESSA
September 27, 2007
We had a great time partaking in the Celebrations for David & Vanessa’s 10 year Anniversary! Eventhough everything didn’t go as planned it couldn’t have been better. It was great to spend time with Family, especially Aunt Lynne. You two looked great! We love you both so much and look forward to many many more years of Anniversary Celebrations.

A Family Photo

On September 27 we celebrated David and Vanessa’s 10th Anniversary. We were dressed up and I thought why don’t we take a quick family photo before we leave. I have a few others, just haven’t gotten to processing them yet! I still have to work on the pictures from D & V’s anniversary Dinner, which we had a wonderful time at!

Visit to Utah!

At the end of August Kyla, Grandma Terry, and I went to Utah for a week. Zane flew out on Friday and drove back with us on Labor Day.

That Sunday we visited Temple Square. We stopped at the reflection pool in front of the Temple and Kyla said,”A castle in the water”, and then she looked up and said, “two castles.” When we were in the North Visitor’s center Kyla enjoyed sitting quietly at the statue of Jesus, The Christus. When Zane asked her if we should go she replied, “No.” But she finally got up, waved and said, “Bye, Jesus.”

Kyla loved being on the roof of the Conference center. This is where I captured these pictures.

This is the look that Zane gets.

And this is the look that I get!!

We enjoyed our visit with family and can’t wait to see some of them this week.

It’s A Baby ???????

We had our Ultrasound appointment yesterday. The Sonographer called in sick, so the Nurse Practioner did the ultrasound. There was not much Amniotic fluid between the baby and the placenta, so it was very hard to see any organs or body parts. We ended up taking a walk, I drank a lot of water and we went back to the office to try again, or We could wait till next month to try again.
Well, the baby moved and the second time we could see so much more! I would post the pics of the ultrasound, but they are not the greatest. However, they did determine that we are having a …

Springs Creek Trail

We love to enjoy the Mountains of Colorado. Before we had Kyla we spent much of our Saturdays in the mountains with our Jeep. We sold the Jeep before Kyla was born. We have missed four wheeling so much that we have bought a LandCruiser. We just have not been able to modify it as we would like for our adventures.

Last Saturday we went with some friends on Springs Creek Trail. They both have modified LandCruisers, which ours will look like someday. Unfortunately since our Cruiser is stock we took Zane’s truck, which did surprisingly well.

Unexpected Family Reunion

Well, we just got back from Manti, Utah! Zane’s Aunt Idell passed away last week and we attended her Funeral on Wednesday in Manti. Idell is Zane’s biological Grandmother and he has so many wonderful memories of her and the times they shared together, especially Arrowhead hunting. We love and will miss her greatly and await the day that we can be reunited.

Zane’s family is spread out and it is not very often that we are all able to get together. It was so great to be able to see everyone and Kyla met many of her cousins! We hope that the next time we get together it will be sooner and under different circumstances.
We Love You All!!

Playing Frisbee Golf!!

We love to play frisbee golf. The other day we went to a course close to the house, it’s only a 9 hole course. Kyla enjoys walking with us and trying to throw a frisbee at each tee! She waits till we have all gone and then says, “Kyla’s turn”.
