People tell me it’s a boy thing, but Barrett seems to think his onesie is a big pocket. Here he is running around with toys stuffed down his onesie!

Fun Hats in Breckenridge!
Over Memorial Day weekend we went up to Frisco to play disc golf. We then drove into Breckenridge to eat at Rasta Pasta. We got to Rasta Pasta, to find out that they were closed for renovation. So we decided to eat at Bubba Gump’s instead! Whenever we walk the main street of Breckenridge we always have to stop in the crazy hat store and try on hats. We probably get a little carried away, but it’s fun!

Locks of Love
Back in June I cut 14 inches off my hair to donate to the Locks of Love foundation. Here is a picture of me before I cut my hair and a picture of what it looks like now.
Remembering the Brave 09
Zane participated in the 2nd Annual Armed Forces Memorial Match Shoot in May. Amber, the kids and I went to watch the boys on Sunday. It is held at the Colorado Rifle Club in Byers. Zane shot with open sights (which means he did not use a scope) and competed against a team of Marine’s. I was able to go down into the pits where the targets are during part of the match. This was a very neat experience and I am thinking about competing with Zane next year!
Here are the names of those honored at the memorial:
- 2nd Lt. James Cathey
- Lance Cpl. Gregory Rund
- Lance Cpl. Justin Ellsworth
- 1st Lt. Matthew Vandergrift
- Lance Cpl. Nicklas Palmer
- U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christopher Falkel
- U.S. Air Force Detective Michael Thomas
- Lance Cpl. Andrew Riedel
- Staff Sgt. Sam Holder
- HM3 Christopher Anderson
- U.S. Navy Seal GM 2 Danny Dietz
- Lance Cpl. Kyle Burns
- Lance Cpl. Tommy Slocum
- U.S. Army Pfc. Jesse Givens
- U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Justin Vasquez
Here is Zane shooting. This was the 1000 yard shoot.
Here is Brian shooting. You can see the targets off in the distance.
This is a picture of Danny Dietz trophy. Each trophy is handmade and is personalized to each soldier’s story.
This is a picture of the Marine team that won the match that Zane competed in.
Barrett and Kyla found enjoyment in filling up this bottle with dirt.
The sunset was so beautiful on our drive back into Denver. This picture was taken while in motion!
Congrats to Matt & Amy
We attended Matt & Amy’s wedding on May 14. Matt is a 4 wheeling buddy of ours, actually we bought our Jeep wrangler from him. We saw Matt before the ceremony and he looked so nervous, but yet you could tell he was so happy!
This first picture Zane took while holding the camera in the aisle. I did the settings and then handed him the camera since he was at the end of the aisle.
