Lunch for Little Ones

Today a friend and I went to Texas Roadhouse for Free Lunch. Zane called me after he heard about it on the radio to let me know. They are raising money for The Children’s Hospital. Lunch is from 10:30am – 1:30 pm and the Menu is; Pulled Pork Sandwich, french fries, applesauce, and of course their yummy rolls! Don’t expect to see a bill, however, an envelope will be on the table so you can donate money to the Children’s Hospital. Tomorrow is the last day they are doing it and it is the Texas Roadhouse in Littleton.

March in Colorado!

It seems as though the month of March isn’t complete without a good snow storm. This winter has been fairly mild. On Thursday morning it started snowing and it was also very windy. I didn’t really think it was that bad (seeing how I wasn’t out on the roads) and then I opened up the garage for Brian and Amber and realized there was more snow than I thought. I got the shovel out and started to work on the driveway. I shoveled about a quarter of the driveway and called it quits. Lucky me, when Brian & Amber arrived, Brian finished the rest! Zane was called out for snow removal to the airport, he got there at 2 am on Thursday and came home on Friday at 2pm!
I thought the snow looked cool on our bedroom window!

Play Date at Flatirons!

Through facebook I have been able to reconnect with several friends from High School. Several of us live not too far, so we decided to get our kids together and meet up at Flatirons Mall back in February. They have a great little play area for the kids. However, Barrett was more interested in the exit and eating the crayons at the kid tables.

More Pictures of Utah!

I have some catching up to do with our Blog.
Here are more pictures from our trip out to Utah! I went to the Mt. Timpanogos temple one evening, it was windy so I wasn’t able to get the best focus.

Deana & Dianna!

Morgan & Kyla!

Dania & Barrett (the redness on Barrett’s face is eczema and he also has food on his face.)

Daniel’s shiner from wrestling! He made it to State, so I am sure it was worth it!

Bathroom Adventures!

Well, it took some time but Kyla is FINALLY potty trained. Many people, including our pediatrician, told me not to push it and that it will click one day and happen. I was really wondering if this was going to “happen” for us. And that is exactly how it went. We tried and bribed Kyla and nothing seemed to work. Zane came home one evening with Mentos, and it must have inspired Kyla because she was excited to get one every time she used her potty chair.

So, later that week Zane and I had gone to bed one evening and I heard our door open (it must have around 1am). I was pretending to still be asleep, but waiting for a tap on the shoulder and instead the light to our bathroom went on and I realized it was Kyla going potty. At this point Zane and I looked at each other and waited for her to come to one of our sides, but she ran out of our room, making sure to close our bedroom door and continued into her room, (slamming her door) which woke up Barrett. I got up to tend to Barrett and expected Kyla to be awake as well, but she was sound asleep.
The next morning I told her she could have a mentos because she used the bathroom at night. She looked at me like I was crazy and said, “No I didn’t”. Uhm, well ok!

Barrett has shown interest in the potty chair. He likes to take the cushion off it and dump it in the toilet, he loves unrolling the toilet paper, and he likes to try to flush the toilet. So, we have to remind anyone that comes to our house to make sure and keep the lid on the toilet down and close the door to the bathroom.
