We went over to a friend’s house yesterday! Kyla and Q played out in the pool. They played great together for not having seen each other for awhile.

Wedded Bliss
We spent this past weekend in Montrose for Brian and Amber’s Wedding. We left Thursday morning to be there for the Wedding Rehearsal that afternoon. Zane was a groomsmen and Kyla was the flower girl! Friday Kyla and I attended a Bridal Brunch and then we spent the afternoon swimming at the pool.
Saturday was the big day. The wedding was outside at Ridgway State Park in the afternoon. The weather couldn’t have been better, it was cloudy but the rain didn’t come until the reception was over and we were on our way to drop the Newlywed’s off in Ouray!
Kyla did awesome. She did forget to throw the flowers as she was walking down the aisle. However, when standing up front during the ceremony she remembered and started to throw the flowers out onto the stairs. One of the bridesmaids was going to stop her, but she realized that everyone in the congregation thought it was so cute. I did her hair thanks to a friend showing me what to do and it stayed. Kyla was wiped as she wasn’t able to take a nap, she fell asleep when the dancing started.
We got back about midnight on Sunday, which happened to be Zane’s birthday!

I have so many pictures that I have them in a slideshow. The slideshow is just a few, but some of the better ones I thought. Just click the picture below!
First Haircuts
I took Barrett and Kyla to get their hairs trimmed on Tuesday. I actually was just taking Barrett, but Kyla decided that she wanted a cut as well. Luckily Grandma called us that morning to tell us she was on her way to Denver to go to the Temple. She ended up meeting us at the salon and she helped hold Barrett so I could take pictures! They both did wonderfully, and Grandma too!! Barrett stayed occupied with a toy. I have trimmed his hairs before, but he was starting to move to much and follow the scissors (made me a little nervous).
Kyla was playing in the Jeep chair while Barrett was getting is hairs cut and afterwards she told me she wanted to get a haircut. I actually have wanted to get her hairs trimmed for a while, so it was perfect. Thank you Mom!

Barrett being occupied by a new toy. It worked better than I thought.
Kyla kept looking at herself in the mirror and making faces.
Now I just need to get her to the Dentist!
Babies Galore!
We have had many babies born in our ward this year! We live in a pretty established ward so there aren’t a whole lot of young couples and families, however, all of us that are young (I am still young, right!) all drank the same water because it seems as all of us had a new addition(s) this year.
Several of us went to the park a couple times last week, and although I didn’t get pictures of kids playing or running through the water I took a picture of our babies lined up on blankets. I know it’s not the best shot and I think it’s only half of the babies, but I thought it was funny how they were all laying there in a row!
Teaser Pic!
Well, I am a big procrastinator, so this past weekend I have been working on the flowergirl dress for Kyla. I am pleased with how it turned out and it fits her. She is so excited to wear her wedding dress (flowergirl) this coming weekend!
I thought I would add a picture of the dress to the blog. Mostly to tease Amber!!!
Quilt Giveaway!
Dana at Old Red Barn Co. is having a quilt giveaway. Check it out, it is so beautiful and I can’t believe she is giving it away!
Fourth of July!
We went on a camping trip for the fourth weekend. First time we have been camping with kids! It was an interesting trip, as none of the plans that we started with actually happened.
We left Thursday night, and our plan was to drive to a 4×4 trail up by Camp Hale and set up camp. Well we got a little bit later start than planned and the traffic going out of Denver was terrible (as always). So, we drove to Shrine Pass at the top of the Summit past Copper Mountain. We camped there for the night and were going to drive to the 4×4 trail in the morning. We decided to not set up our tent and fold down all our seats and sleep in the back of our Cruiser! Kyla takes up so much room for being such a little thing, but it wasn’t too bad.
The picture below is the view that we had from the spot we camped at off of Shrine Pass.

Well, morning came and our friends wife was not feeling well, so he drove her back to I-70 for her mother to come pick her up. We were eating breakfast and packing up to head to our trail and our friends son started to not feel well. They decided to just head back home as wheeling would not be the best thing on a sick stomach.
We were very excited to be taking out the newly lifted Cruiser for the first time on a trail, so we didn’t want to head home, but we didn’t want to run this challenging trail on our own. Our friends Amber and Brian were with us, but they were in Zane’s truck.
We decided to check out a trail(Wheeler Lake) on Hoosier Pass outside of Breckenridge. It is probably our most favorite trail from when we had our Wrangler. We made it past the first two hard obstacles and then turned around as people who were coming down said that there was too much snow to make it to the lake and we would have to hike the last little bit. And there was also 20 vehicles up there. We drove down and Zane did the obstacles a couple more times. The first obstacle my heart dropped to my knees, because the front passenger tire came up really really high and did not look good. If I can figure out how to get video on here I will post a video of it.
We then drove to Deckers. The Forest had been reopened after being closed for 5 years due to the Hayman Fire. Before the Hayman Fire we had set up a really nice camping spot and would run the two 4×4 trails in the area. Well, our camp was torched and the trails were closed.

We made a new camping spot, which I must say turned out very nice! However, the 4×4 trails were not opened.
Kyla enjoyed playing in the dirt and we had fun hanging out and enjoying not being in the city.

Cruiser Fix!
We have had our LandCruiser for a year now and Zane has finally been able to put a lift on it. (We finally sold the Acura, only took a year for it to sell.)
Zane came down with Shingles at the beginning of June and during this time he chose to spend his time in the garage working on the Cruiser. He figured that if he was going to be in pain he might as well do something other than lay on the couch and dwell about it. He wasn’t allowed to hold Barrett, and he tried to keep his distance from Kyla. Luckily neither one of our kiddo’s came down with chicken pox. Whew! And Zane is feeling much much better.

Pool Side!
We went to a friends to go swimming yesterday! It was so hot and so nice to be in the pool. This is the first time Barrett has been swimming and he wasn’t too sure at first. But he adjusted quickly. Amber held him most of the time and he enjoyed playing with the strings that tied at her neck on her swimsuit. She later passed him to me and I think he was a little upset that I didn’t have strings for him to play with. I really wanted to get a picture of him before he fell asleep. He must have been really tuckered out from the water because he took a long nap before dinner.
